Music Producer | Musician
Age: 21
Degree - BA (hons) - Music Production
From an early age, I have been deeply immersed in the world of music. I began my musical journey at just 9 years old, experimenting with songwriting on the guitar.
Throughout my childhood, I dedicated much of my time to learning various instruments, including guitar, bass, drums, ukulele, and piano. These instruments became essential tools for me to compose my own music from an early age.
Influenced by artists of the moment I began performing at local events such as open mic nights, school shows, and family gatherings, where I honed my stage presence and musical expression.
By the age of 14, my interest in the technical side of music production deepened. I started experimenting with music production software, exploring programs like Cubase and FL Studio before ultimately settling on Logic Pro X as my preferred DAW. Producing original beats and tracks in my bedroom studio, I quickly discovered a my love for creating dynamic soundscapes, blending different genres and styles with innovative production techniques.
Around the same time I was able to gain performance skills by busking in the streets of my local city, this was a great experience, which continued to help shape my direction.
At 15, I released my first single, Sometimes I Just, which garnered praise from BBC Introducing Merseyside. This early success solidified my passion and motivated me to pursue formal education in music production and engineering to further develop my technical skills.
At 16, I enrolled at Coleg Cambria to study Music Production and Sound Engineering. During this time, I refined my skills in sound design, synthesis, mixing, and studio engineering. I collaborated with classmates across a variety of genres and finished the course with a Level 3 and Extended Level 3 Diploma in Music Production & Sound Engineering.
Whilst in college the pandemic disrupted my lessons and lectures, so I used this extra time at home to start creating and selling beats online to rappers from around the world, trying out many different genres and building up a small community from my bedroom.
The following year one of my beats was used by a prominent rapper and was played on Soccer AM Live TV. This motivated me even more.
After college, I pursued a BA (Hons) in Music Production at Leeds Beckett University, graduating at the age of 20.
During my second year at university, I started working for UTM Studio as a producer/engineer, this real world experience was invaluable, something that you cannot really get in university alone.
My time at university, working in the studio and connecting with fellow artists from Leeds, Manchester and beyond has helped me build connections within the industry whilst enabling me to continue to develop more advanced technical and creative skills.
I am now fully equipped with a comprehensive understanding of the music production process, from both a creative and technical standpoint, allowing me to bring an artist’s vision to life.
Today, I am a seasoned music producer and artist myself, primarily focusing on alternative R&B and pop music. However, I don't like to define my sound too strictly—it’s a blend of all my favourite genres and influences. Why label it?
Being an artist myself gives me a unique perspective and understanding of other artists' visions, helping me coach and collaborate with musicians in a way that brings out the best in their work. My ear for music has been shaped by years of listening, analyzing, and admiring a wide range of sounds, and I’ve become skilled at helping artists—whether they rap or sing—realize their creative goals.
I continue to work on new projects, collaborating with artists across the UK, and I'm always excited to work with up-and-coming talents.
